Research and insight agency 3Gem has unveiled an interactive audience platform for airlines called CONNECT. According to the company, the technology will allow passengers to leave “in the moment” opinions and feedback on what they are watching.

CONNECT, which is a result of more than two years of development and testing, acts as an overlay on the entertainment screen, serving passengers with one or any number of question-and-answer options.

3Gem says the benefits to airlines that have an internet connection on board are endless. The platform offers various options such as encouraging passengers to rank what they are watching, complete customer satisfaction surveys, and opportunities for passengers to interact with advertisers.

Darren Ryan, 3Gem Global Creative Director, said: “Over the last 24 months our in-house technical team have developed something quite remarkable. An interactive platform that we anticipate will change the way airlines and airline advertisers engage with passengers. Capturing instant feedback and delivering immediate results in this way has never been possible until now.”

According to 3Gem, CONNECT benefits advertisers in addition to delivering valuable passenger insights to carriers. It also invites passengers to give feedback on ads and to request more information on a product or service being advertised.
