ABC International has launched a new headrest, which it claims will eliminate the need for passengers to bring their own portable orthopaedic pillows on board.
Designed by Aysegul Durak, former Cabin Interior Chief Engineer at Turkish Airlines, the Boom Headrest supports the correct orthopaedic posture of the neck and nape tightly embracing the nape, neck and head.
The “gooseneck”, the multifunctional mechanism within the headrest, gives passengers various neck and head support options which can be achieved by applying a light pressure on the arms to bring “Boom Headrest” into the desired position.
In order to have the lightest headrest in the market ABC International used aeronautic state-of-the-art materials and processes. The main structure of the Boom Headrest is manufactured in aluminium alloy with steel and polyamide inserts, for long life functionality, integrity and uniformity.
The Boom Headrest can be installed on any seat either retrofit or linefit.
