AELF FlightService A330 MSN 472 with auxiliary cargo configuration supplied by Avianor.

AELF FlightService a privately-held commercial aircraft leasing company has partnered with Montreal-based Avianor to redesign the capability of four of its A330-200 aircraft, removing the seats and transforming the aircraft into auxiliary freight configuration.

Avianor has supplied the custom Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) conversion kit and parts support for the modifications, which have been completed on two aircraft providing a cargo capacity of 230 m3 of volume and 58 T of payload. Two additional aircraft are currently undergoing conversion.

“The embodiment of the Avianor STC on our aircraft was a strategic decision, enabling us to meet the current market environment and also maximise the flexibility of our fleet,” said Joe Cirillo, Chief Operating Officer. “After considering a number of other solutions, we are pleased to be working with Avianor to ensure we meet our customer’s changing needs.”
