Air France has chosen Starlink to provide in-flight Wi-Fi to all its aircraft and cabins from 2025, free of charge to all customers.

The broadband connectivity will be accessible through personal devices, with the option to connect several appliances per customer. The service will be provided by logging into the passenger’s Flying Blue account, Air France’s loyalty programme.

Starlink operates using a network of low Earth orbit satellites, and promises high-speed, low-latency Internet, allowing customers to follow live news, play online games, stream TV and films, and communicate through social media.

From summer 2025, Air France will gradually equip its entire fleet with Starlink technology and will continue to provide its current connectivity service during the transition period, available to Flying Blue Ultimate and La Première customers.

Starlink have garnered several airline partnerships recently, such as with Hawaiian Airlines, who has announced that it will be operating Starlink’s Wi-Fi as a complimentary feature for guests on all Airbus flights between the islands and the continental U.S, Asia, and Oceania.
