Air India has selected Panasonic Avionics’ Astrova IFE solution and services for its 34 new widebody aircraft on order: six A350-1000s, 14 A350-900s, and 14 787-9s.

The Astrova solution includes a 4K OLED HDR10+ display, high-fidelity Spatial Audio that can connect to passengers’ wireless headphones using Panasonic Avionics’ Bluetooth technology, 67W USB-C in-seat power for charging, and LED cabin lighting.

Air India has also opted for Panasonic Technical Services (PTS) for IFE system support.

Icelandair was the launch customer for Astrova in December 2024, intsalled on an A321LR aircraft.
