Alcantara, which offers innovative materials for all types of aircraft, showcased its tailor-made solution at the Aircraft Interiors Expo in May.
According to the company, its material is used in seating, panelling, headliners, shells and cabinetry and the technical characteristics include a high degree of performance, exclusive feel, comfort, grip, weight saving, functionality, resistance and ease of maintenance.
Alcantara says one of the latest applications of the company’s product was on board a limited edition 500 Vision Jet by Cirrus Aircraft. The interiors combine grey Alcantara, blue leather and carbon fibre.
In addition to a wide range of colours, Alcantara provides various textures and techniques crafted with a stylistic recipe that combines creativity, technology and craftsmanship, characterised by Made in Italy quality. Electro-welding, screen printing, laser engraving, weaving, 3D embossing, embroidery, tufting and perforations are just some of the technologies available.
