American Airlines is introducing Lavazza coffee to its in-flight menu and its Admirals Club and Flagship lounges, an Italian brand known for premium blend, with the aim of creating a seamless experience for passengers from the airport to the sky. The coffee brand will be available from early 2026 in all cabins.
“At American, we’re focused on looking at every aspect of the customer experience, and a quality cup of coffee is an important part of that journey,” said Heather Garboden, American’s Chief Customer Officer. “We’re proud to team up with this iconic brand to bring a rich, satisfying coffee experience to our customers — whether they’re in the air or relaxing in our lounges.”
Lavazza has existed since 1895 as a family-owned business, blending Italian traditions with modern techniques. Its coffee blends are used around the world, including in restaurants and hotels.
“Partnering with American Airlines allows us to bring the true Lavazza experience to travellers around the world,” commented Hossam Ashraf, Americas President at Lavazza Group. “At Lavazza, we believe in creating moments of pleasure and connection through coffee, and collaborating with a brand that shares our commitment to exceptional experiences helps strengthen our presence and footprint in the market.”
American is undoubtably undergoing an extensive in-flight catering revamp with the hopes of providing an elevated experience for passengers, with a wealth of recent announcements regarding new menus, alcoholic beverages, and snacks.
