The Airline Passenger Experience Association (APEX) has appointed Katie Murphy as its new Director of Membership and Events. In her new role, Murphy will work to expand APEX’s reach and prominence, foster opportunities in advancing the aviation industry and represent APEX in its events, content and media.

Murphy brings 20 years’ experience in international business events, including 10 years leading Aircraft Interiors Expo (AIX) in Hamburg. In addition, Murphy has presented at other industry events including Passenger Experience Conference, APEX/IFSA EXPO and the Crystal Cabin Awards.

“The APEX Board of Directors approved Katie’s addition for her exceptional industry expertise, leadership and proven track record in delivering world-class customer event satisfaction and driving incredible results for airline suppliers,” said Dr. Joe Leader, CEO, APEX. “We are confident she will drive APEX’s membership and events to the next level of excellence and prominence.”

As Director of Membership and Events, Murphy will showcase the impact of APEX members at APEX EXPO in Los Angeles on 19-21 September. APEX EXPO is expecting more than 3,000 airline and supplier leaders in air travel this year to highlight advances in in-flight entertainment content, cabin, comfort, ambience, connectivity and service.
