Inflight met with Stephanie Werner, Regional Director of Cabin Marketing at Boeing at Farnborough Airshow to experience the cabin interiors of the aircraft manufacturer’s newest Boeing widebody, the 777X.
During the 777X interiors mock-up tour, Werner showcased the innovative features of the cabin design that Boeing says will combine the best of the aircraft manufacturer’s B777 and B787 Dreamliner cabins.
The design certainly delivers the flight experience of the future, providing features such as nearly 8-foot-tall ceilings, bigger overhead stowage bins that hold twice as many bags and close up with 40% less force, higher humidity, a lower cabin altitude at 6,000 feet and improved cabin air quality with available gaseous filtration, allowing passengers to feel more refreshed when arriving at their destinations.
The 777X cabin will feature a a comfortable 10-abreast economy seating and a more spacious premium class. The 162-square inch windows are optimally positioned on the fuselage to give passengers throughout the aircraft a view of the horizon. Boeing also offers an option for airlines to choose electronically dimmable windows which darken at the touch of a button.
The cabins will have dynamic and energy-efficient LED lighting with optimised lighting scenes such as boarding, cruise, sunrise, sunset and starry skies throughout the flight which helps create a soothing passenger experience.
