BURRANA RISE Power + PSS unveiled at AIX 2025

Burrana has launched a new solution that allows for the addition of PSS functionality, attendant call and reading lights, within the RISE Power architecture with one box powering both USB outlets and essential PSS features.

This eliminates the need for separate PSS hardware. Burrana says that delays in OEM linefit deliveries have disrupted many airlines’ fleet plans, resulting in the delayed retirement of legacy aircraft and carriers have to either retrofitting outdated IFE systems or explore aircraft leasing options.

RISE Power + PSS offers airlines a cost-effective alternative for 747, 767, 777, 787, A330 and A340 aircraft types.

According to Burrana, the first aircraft modification is anticipated to enter service in 2026 on a launch customer to be announced soon.

David Pook, VP Global Marketing & Sales said: “We are thrilled to be selected for our unique ability to provide an integrated in-seat power + passenger service solution using a one-box approach, significantly reducing weight and complexity, and are already seeing growing interest from additional airlines and MROs.”
