What is CabinSpace Live?

For the fourth consecutive year, CabinSpace Live hosted by Inflight, held an extensive conference program at Aircraft Interiors Expo (AIX), Hamburg, Germany, which occured from the 8th to 10th April, 2025. Our thought-provoking and hot-topic debate took place on Tuesday 8th April, in the CabinSpace Live Theatre.

Prominent industry figures from airlines, manufacturers and suppliers took the stage and discussed advancements, developments and key issues in Connected cabin solutions, In-flight connectivity, Equality in in-flight entertainment systems, Cabin refurbishment, the power of data and AI on flights, and Satellite launches and future capabilities.

Director, Cabin Products and Services of All Nippon Airways (ANA)

Katsunori Maki has more than 25 years of experience in the aircraft cabin interior projects sector, including IFEC. He began his career in 1999 as a Project Engineer in supplies, and worked with both Airbus and Boeing. From 2009, he joined ANA and worked for most of cabin-line fit and retrofit projects as Senior Program Manager. From 2016, he was assigned to the current section, taking a role of the Head of Cabin Projects as Director from 2021.

SVP & GM of Hughes Network Systems

Reza Rasoulian, senior vice president & general manager of the Aviation Business Unit at Hughes, leads the company’s aviation business, including both commercial and business aviation. He also leads product development for NGSO and other mobility markets. He has led significant strategic growth in the aviation and mobility verticals at Hughes leading the development and bringing innovative solutions to market with Delta Air Lines, Gogo Business Aviation, and TCI/Ajet.

Prior to joining Hughes in his current position, Reza was vice president of global connectivity at Carnival Corporation, where he developed and executed a multi-year technology strategy to optimize the onboard technology stack and enable the corporation to leverage satellite capacity from multiple sources simultaneously enabling a frictionless experience at scale while increasing revenue and guest satisfaction for the world’s largest cruise company.

Among many awards for excellence and leadership, Reza received the 2018 Euroconsult Smart Ship of the Year award for a record 3.174 Gbps of satellite bandwidth delivered to a ship at one time.

Reza earned a Bachelor of Science in Information Systems & Management Science from the University of Maryland and a Master of Science in Systems Engineering from the Whiting School of Engineering at The Johns Hopkins University. He is also PMP certified.

Andrew was appointed Global Head of Aviation of SES in June 2024 where he oversees SES’s dynamic aviation connectivity vertical.
Having joined SES first between 2000-2010 and most recently since 2016, he has held various managements roles in North America Sales and Mobility Market Solutions. In his most recent role as Vice President Market Development and O3b mPOWER Commercial Development Lead, Andrew was responsible for developing and executing the MEO Global Services (MGS) Government programme, using the O3b mPOWER system to provide critical resilient satcom capabilities for Luxembourg, the U.S, their partners and NATO.
Andrew has extensive experience in the satellite industry. Prior to SES, he worked with BDM International (now Northrop Grumman), PanAmSat, satellite operator XTAR, LLC, a Loral Space and Communications privately held company, and was an independent telecom consultant based in the Czech Republic.
A US citizen residing in the Washington region, Andrew holds a master’s degree from American University and a bachelor’s degree from the Catholic University of America. He has also studied at the University of Virginia’s Darden School of Business and the Jagiellonian University in Krakow, Poland.

Bill Milroy | Speaker

Chaiman and CTO of ThinKom

Prior to co-founding ThinKom, William (Bill) Milroy held the position of Senior Engineering Fellow within the Electromagnetic Systems Department of Raytheon’s Electronic Systems (ES) Segment. During his 20 year tenure at Raytheon (Hughes Aircraft), Mr. Milroy managed and lead the RF antenna design, development, and production of a wide range of antenna array implementations for radar and communication applications in both the commercial and military marketplaces including 1-D and 2-D Electronically-Scanned Arrays (ESA’s). These efforts have included the creation and invention of a number of innovative EM modeling and RF design improvements, including the invention of the Continuous Transverse Stub (CTS) Array and its variants. He left Raytheon in May of 2000 in order to co-found and incorporate ThinKom Solutions, where he currently holds the titles of Chairman and CTO. Located in Hawthorne, California, ThinKom Solutions is focused on the design and development of innovative antenna access solutions and products for the Broadband Wireless Communication market.

Mr. Milroy is a graduate of the University of California at Los Angeles, earning BSEE, MSEE, and Engineer (Ph.D. course, field, and examination requirements) degrees and is a graduate of the Hughes (Raytheon) Corporate Program Manager Development Course (PMDC) and Engineering of Systems Course (EOSC) curricula and the Executive Marketing Program at UCLA’s Anderson School of Business Management. He is the author or co-author of nine journal and symposia papers in the fields of Network Analysis, Circuits, Antennas, and Microwaves. He is the inventor or co-inventor of over forty-five awarded and pending patents in the fields of Electromagnetic Scattering, Materials, Microwave Devices, and Antennas. Mr. Milroy is a past Chairman of the Los Angeles Chapter of the IEEE Antennas and Propagation Society (IEEE-APS.)

His extensive experience in aviation spans projects for airlines including Korean Air, Turkish Airlines, Lufthansa and SWISS; concept work with seat manufacturers including Geven Aviation Seating and Collins Aerospace; cabin design with airframe manufacturers including Airbus and Embraer; and in the growing eVTOL sector for Lilium and Overair.

In 2018, he became responsible for the design, procurement, and launch of Inmarsat’s future space segment assets. Following the acquisition of Inmarsat by Viasat in 2023, Mark performed this role for the combined organisation. Mark joined Neo Space Group in February 2025 as their CTO.
