The Cathay Pacific Group is significantly enriching its in-flight entertainment offering.
Cathay Pacific general manager Customer Experience and Design Vivian Lo said: “Our passengers are always telling us how much they enjoy having high-quality entertainment when they travel, so we’re delighted to be giving them so much more new, exciting content to explore.
“Whether it’s laughter, tears, thrills or chills, we want our passengers to experience and feel more from the entertainment they have at their fingertips whenever they fly with us.”
The airline is adding specially curated collections compiled by renowned celebrities and entertainment experts to one of the largest libraries of Asian content of any airline in the world.
Cathay Pacific and streaming service and independent entertainment specialist MUBI have partnered to source remastered classics and films that did not have a theatre release.
Additionally, Cathay Pacific has become one of the first airlines to offer multi-season boxsets, meaning passengers can binge-watch award-winning drama series, starting with the pilot episode all the way through to the latest season finale.
Cathay Pacific has also partnered with channel Sport 24 to offer passengers flying on its Airbus A350 aircraft live sports coverage, beginning with the Rugby World Cup Finals live this month.
Meanwhile next year, live coverage of the Tokyo Olympics and the Hong Kong Rugby Sevens will be shown, ensuring all the unforgettable highs and lows from these incredible competitions can be enjoyed as they happen even while in the air.
Cathay Pacific general manager Customer Experience and Design, Vivian Lo, said: “High-quality inflight entertainment is something our customers constantly tell us they like to see when they fly with Cathay Pacific, so we’re thrilled to be adding a whole new dimension to the experience we offer them through Sport 24.”
“Few things can beat the excitement of watching great moments of sporting history as they happen. With live coverage of the best sporting events, our passengers can always feel assured that they won’t miss any of the action even while they are in the air.”
