Two-level aircraft seating company Chaise Longue has announced that it is exploring new early stage concepts with Airbus.
The company, which was established in 2021, aims to disrupt the aircraft seating market and offers double-level seating which optimises the cabin space to improve passenger comfort.
The company says it offers new business opportunities for airlines and that by removing the overhead storage compartments and relocating them underneath the seats, the design provides numerous advantages. Without reducing the seat-pitch and offering the same passenger capacity as other seating solutions, the solution provides much more leg room and overall space, easier accessibility for passengers with reduced mobility, more posture variation and larger recline angles.
