China Southern Airlines has become the first customer in mainland China to choose the RECARO Aircraft Seating R3 Economy Class seats for its A350-900 fleet. The agreement includes the installation of the R3 seats across 10 aircraft from Q3 2026.

The airline has selected the R3 seats for their living space, high comfort seat cushion with lumbar support, and six-way adjustable headrest. Additionally, the seats will be fitted with 13.3-inch 4K IFE systems.
