Collins Aerospace SkyNook suite listed a finalist for Crystal Cabin Award 2026

Collins Aerospace’s SkyNook suite has been named a finalist for a 2026 Crystal Cabin Award, a prestigious international award for innovation, excellence and creativity in aircraft cabin interior design.

Crystal Cabin Award winners will be announced at a ceremony on 14 April 2026 in Hamburg as part of the Aircraft Interiors Expo.

The SkyNook suite was picked as a finalist for the passenger comfort category and features a semi-private retreat located at the aft of a widebody aircraft, transforming an often underutilised space into an elevated area capable of accommodating families, passengers with service animals or pets, those with sensory sensitivities, or someone flying with a fragile, bulky item that cannot be checked.

Widebody fuselages taper inward towards the back of the aircraft, often leaving unutilised space between the sidewall and the seat, and the SkyNook solution utilises a custom convertible console to transform this space – safely securing a car seat, bassinet, pet carrier or service animal for the duration of the flight.

Another of the innovative features of SkyNook is a deployable privacy divider that dampens cabin noise and provides a visual barrier from the aisle, lavatory queues and galley traffic.
