Delta Air Lines has outlined the next phase of its long haul cabin strategy – with the introduction of a new Delta One suite and a wider investment programme across its international fleet. The new suite will debut on the airline’s Airbus A350-1000 aircraft from 2027 and reflects more than a decade of customer research and two years of design development.
The next-generation Delta One suites feature longer flat bed seats, sliding privacy doors, larger high definition screens, improved storage and updated materials, aimed at delivering a more consistent and personalised experience. Delta will also install Delta One suites on its Airbus A330 200 and A330 300 aircraft for the first time as part of a full cabin refurbishment, significantly increasing the number of suites available across the network.
The investment extends beyond the premium cabin. Delta plans more than $1 billion in fleet wide upgrades, including larger seatback screens with Bluetooth connectivity, memory foam seating, USB C and universal power outlets at every seat, and a refreshed interior design across all cabins. A new self service snack station will be added for Delta One customers, and accessibility features have been developed in consultation with the airline’s advisory board.
More than 800 aircraft are expected to adopt the new cabin design over the next five years, forming part of Delta’s broader effort to modernise its long haul product and create greater consistency across its fleet.
