Deltais exploring a first-of-its-kind collaboration with digital sports entertainment gaming and technology company DraftKings.

Delta Air Lines’ Delta Sync will be offering new exclusive collaborations to passengers this year, including an expected collaboration with DraftKings, as well as a recently announced partnership with YouTube.

Delta says the carrier is exploring a first-of-its-kind collaboration with DraftKings, a digital sports entertainment gaming and technology company. According to Delta, the potential collaboration contemplates that eligible SkyMiles Members can access free gaming as an additional offering on Delta Sync Wi-Fi available through SkyMiles members’ personal electronic devices. The Delta Sync experience does not include gaming of any kind using real money or miles.

Julieta McCurry, VP of In-Flight Entertainment and Connectivity commented: “Delta is constantly listening to our customers and evolving to meet their needs. We know they want an in-flight experience similar to what they have at home, including more ways to engage and stay entertained – which is why we’re excited to continue scaling Delta Sync products and bring even more to the experience soon, including expected collaborations with brands like YouTube and DraftKings.”

Delta currently offers fast, free Delta Sync Wi-Fi on board more than 880 aircraft and passengers can also enjoy Delta Sync seatback, the airline’s new, personalised in-flight entertainment experience on board more than 330 aircraft today. Delta’s global fleet features more than 165,000 seatback screens.

The new partnership with YouTube will offer SkyMiles Members their favorite creators, podcasts and music artists ad-free on most flights with Delta Sync Wi-Fi and Delta Sync seatback as part of their in-flight entertainment.
