Delta Air Lines and Starbucks are reinstating a popular benefit that lets Members turn everyday coffee purchases into future travel. From 5 August, eligible linked Delta SkyMiles and Starbucks Rewards Members will earn 1 mile per $1 (£0.75) spent at participating Starbucks stores, restoring a simple earning structure that allows customers to see their Starbucks purchases translate directly into travel rewards.

The update builds on the brands’ loyalty partnership launched in 2022, reinforcing Delta’s strategy to deliver value beyond the flight by creating more ways for Members to earn, enjoy and engage with familiar consumer brands.
To qualify, linked Members must have flown a Delta flight within the previous 12 months. Those who have not flown recently will receive a one time grace period through 5 October 2026, allowing them to earn miles on eligible Starbucks purchases during that window.

Linked Members will continue to earn Double Stars on Starbucks purchases made on days they have a scheduled Delta flight — whether grabbing a drink en route to the airport or stopping at a café before departure.

Delta and Starbucks say linked Members will also retain access to exclusive events, limited time offers and special drops available only to customers who have connected their loyalty accounts.
