Deutsche Aircraft has chosen COMTRONIC to supply the 40-seat D328eco regional turboprop with the complete overhead panel – a key element of the cockpit architecture of the D328eco.
COMTRONIC’s overhead panel integrates essential systems with intuitive, pilot-friendly ergonomics, combining advanced optical engineering and robust design to ensure reliability and precision even in the most demanding conditions.
Gilles Heinrich, President of MAFELEC Team, and Ludivine Danger, Aerospace Sales Director at COMTRONIC, said: “Winning the complete overhead panel contract for the D328eco is a great source of pride for our teams. Our expertise in high uniformity illuminated panels and custom control units perfectly meets Deutsche Aircraft’s expectations in terms of ergonomics, reliability and performance.
“Their mindset aligns closely with the values of MAFELEC Team, making this partnership both natural and exciting.”
According to the companies, the package will include illuminated panels and sub-panels with optimised day/night readability, custom control units and keypads tailored for the D328eco cockpit and advanced optical and photometric engineering that ensures uniformity, anti-glare performance and optional NVIS compatibility.
Full qualification documentation compliant with RTCA/DO-160, MIL-STD and aerospace certification requirements, as well as programme support and technical assistance throughout development and industrial ramp-up are also included.
Nico Neumann, CEO of Deutsche Aircraft, said: “The overhead panel is a critical component of the cockpit architecture. COMTRONIC’s proven capability in aerospace HMI and advanced panel technologies aligns perfectly with our design philosophy of delivering simplicity, robustness and operational efficiency. This collaboration ensures that the D328eco cockpit will set new standards for reliability and pilot-centric ergonomics.”
