DIRECTV IN FLIGHT, a company that provides live television for commercial and private aviation, has acquired international programming rights to show sports, news, and entertainment channels for flights to and from the United States.

“DIRECTV IN FLIGHT is redefining the in-flight entertainment landscape for international travellers by connecting passengers to their favourite U.S. content when they fly from and to the U.S.,” said Kimberly de Flesco, Head of Aviation Strategy for DIRECTV INFLIGHT. “We’re helping to keep passengers engaged, informed, and entertained while flying beyond U.S. borders.”

With the new rights, passenger will have access to over two dozen channels including NFL Network, CBS Sports, FOX News International, Bravo, Hallmark, and Disney Channel, amongst many others. The DIRECTV IN FLIGHT service is compatible with seatback screens and personal devices.
