Embraer has announced that it will now offer Starlink connectivity as an aftermarket Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) solution for Praetor 600, Praetor 500, Legacy 500, and Legacy 450 aircraft.
Currently, FAA certification has been acquired for the Praetor 500 and Legacy 450 fleets, while certification is expected in Q3 2025 for the Praetor 600 and Legacy 500, ANAC certification in Q4 2025, and EASA certification in Q1 2026. Phenom 300s are expected to get the STC in Q4 2025. This is being offered through Nextant Aerospace, the engineering arm of Flexjet, with Flexjet planning to install Starlink across its entire Praetor fleet.
The low latency connectivity is able to support 4K video calls, online gaming, VPN access, and other activities.
