Embraer’s Phenom 300MED has received the Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) from the FAA and EASA. The STC was performed at Embraer’s service centre in Fort Lauderdale, Florida and will be operated by the on-demand charter operator, Grandview Aviation.

Specified by Embraer, the Phenom 300MED aeromedical interior was then developed and certified by engineering services provider umlaut, who was acquired by end-to-end engineering and advisory services company Accenture in 2019. The aircraft’s Intensive Care Unit (ICU) was designed by Aerolite specifically for the Phenom 300MED.
To achieve the certification, an evacuation test conducted by umlaut confirmed that two fully disabled patients could be evacuated from the aircraft.
Developed from the Phenom300E, the Medevac aircraft will benefit from similar cabin pressurisation, low operating costs, high mission flexibility, avionics and speed and range capabilities.
Specific medical configuration alternatives include either one or two stretchers, the ability to carry an incubator and additional medical equipment. The aircraft will be able to convert between an executive and Medevac interior, featuring hospital-grade trim and finishing, in five hours.
