
Emirates has started operating its A350 aircraft into London Gatwick Airport, joining the carrier’s existing three daily A380 flights to the hub.
The second UK destination for Emirates’ A350 following Edinburgh, London joins major cities such as Adelaide, Helsinki, Montreal, Oslo, Lyon, Bologna, Dammam, Mumbai, Edinburgh, Bahrain and Istanbul that the airline operates its A350 fleet to.
The aircraft features latest-generation interiors across all cabins, high-performance Wi-Fi and inflight entertainment and an award-winning Premium Economy cabin.
In Business Class, there are 32 lie-flat Business Class seats in a 1-2-1 layout and Premium Economy has 28 seats. Wireless charging is available in Business Class, and electric window blinds with an Emirates Ghaf tree motif (when closed) are featured in premium classes.
The airline offers digital in-flight menus through its ice in-flight entertainment system which delivers a cinematic experience with stunning 4K and 4K HDR displays on ultra-responsive touchscreens. High-performance Wi-Fi using ViaSat’s Global Xpress (GX) satellite network is also offered, with improved Wireless Access Points (WAPs) onboard allowing more customers to enjoy up to ten times the current total aircraft bandwidth on average.
