Emirates is laying on more retrofitted 777s and A380s for its Shanghai and Zurich routes, while expanding Milan, Rio de Janerio and Buenos Aires schedules, and upgrading its services to Shanghai and Singapore with A380 deployments.

The airline is retrofitting aircraft in response to increased demand and in order to offer passengers an enhanced onboard experience, specifically the Premium Economy cabin. Currently, Emirates has retrofitted 60 aircraft since the programme’s debut in November 2022.

With the retrofitted aircraft, the four-class Emirates Boeing 777 features six or eight First Class suites, 38 or 40 Business seats, 24 Premium Economy seats, and 256 Economy seats. On the four-class Emirates A380, the Premium Economy cabin is placed at the front of the main deck with 56 seats in a 2-4-2 configuration, with features such as in-set charging and a side cocktail table.
