As part of its ongoing Product Innovation Program, Astronics Corporation has launched an anti-microbial aircraft in-seat power Outlet Units.
From the third quarter of 2021, Astronics is making its EmPower in-seat power systems Outlet Units available as anti-microbial products using the latest technology to create an anti-microbial formulation. This includes the EmPower system 110VAC, Type A USB, Type C USB and all combination Outlet Units. It is expected that all EmPower system Outlet Units will be produced with this new anti-microbial formulation by early 2022.
Astronics’ Anti-Microbial Outlet Units have been tested to ISO22196 – Test for Antimicrobial Activity of Plastics.
