Etihad's A380 three-room suite in the sky arrives in Bangkok

Etihad Airways’ flagship A380 aircraft will be operating to Bangkok for the first time this October.

The aircraft features the prestigious The Residence, the world’s only three-room suite in the sky, and will operate on the carrier’s evening daily service between Abu Dhabi’s Zayed International Airport and Bangkok.

Arik De, Etihad Airways’ Chief Revenue and Commercial Officer, said: “We’ve seen huge excitement around where our next A380 would fly – and Bangkok has been one of the most requested destinations. It’s a city that blends energy, culture and world-class hospitality, making it the perfect match for our flagship aircraft.

“The A380 transforms the journey into part of the holiday itself. From The Residence – the world’s only three-room suite in the sky – and our private First Apartments, to the spacious Business lie-flat seats and thoughtfully enhanced Economy cabin, every guest experiences something special on board.

“With the A380 flying to Bangkok, we’re offering greater choice and significant additional capacity on one of our most popular leisure routes. Guests can immerse themselves in Thailand’s beaches and vibrant city life, or choose to extend their trip with a stopover in Abu Dhabi – turning one holiday into two and discovering everything our home city has to offer.”

Etihad’s The Residence on board the A380 is an impressive three-room suite in the sky that accommodates up to two guests and features a private living room, bedroom and en suite bathroom with a shower. Guests in The Residence will experience a culinary journey with an à la carte menu, served on designer tableware in the private living room, or even opt for breakfast in bed. Gourmet cuisine, champagne and caviar, and The Residence Signature High Tea are all part of the range of lavish options, the airline says.

The nine First Apartments on board are equipped with designer tableware, a spacious leather lounge chair, and a separate ottoman that transforms into an 80″ lie-flat bed. Personal vanity units and the exclusive First shower room are also part of the experience.

The Business cabin on board the A380 features 70 private spaces with lie-flat seats, direct aisle access, as well as offering the The Lobby, a serviced lounge and bar area between the First and Business cabins for guests to relax and socialise.

The Economy cabin offers 68 Economy Space seats with additional four inches of legroom, as well as 337 Economy seats. These seats feature Etihad’s signature fixed-wing headrests and large pillows.
