Etihad Airways has introduced Etihad Wellbeing, a programme that consolidates a range of recent product and service updates aimed at improving comfort and rest for passengers throughout their journey.
The initiative brings together measures implemented across the airline’s ground and inflight operations. These include quiet areas and pre‑departure spa services in Etihad Lounges at Zayed International Airport, as well as updated bedding, amenity kits, dining options and hydration products onboard.
Jyotsna Chowdhry, vice president product and hospitality at Etihad Airways, said: “Research shows that as people fly more frequently, they are increasingly looking at ways to maintain a healthy lifestyle while they travel. Etihad Wellbeing is our commitment to making the flying experience as restorative and restful as possible. We’re bringing together a range of practical improvements across our cabins and service, all designed to help guests rest better and arrive feeling refreshed.
“Whether that’s a quieter onboard environment, premium skincare, improved sleep amenities or content that helps our guests relax on longer journeys, these are real products and experiences that make a difference during travel. We are creating a more thoughtful and restorative travel experience inspired by the warmth and care of Emirati hospitality.”
Etihad has updated its dining programme with options that support varied dietary needs, including higher‑protein dishes, plant‑forward meals and a broad selection of special meals for health‑related or religious requirements.
In First and The Residence, bedding now includes natural cotton materials, memory‑foam mattresses and new sleepwear. Business Class features the airline’s Destination Collection amenity kits with skincare products from LANEIGE — the first time the brand has partnered with an airline. First Class continues to offer ESPA skincare items, including facial and under‑eye masks.
Etihad is also introducing a signature scent for use onboard and in lounges.
The programme incorporates operational changes such as the Quiet Cabin initiative, which limits non‑essential announcements, and expanded wellbeing content within the inflight entertainment system. Many aircraft also feature lighting designed to support rest on long‑haul flights.
