ExecuJet MRO Services Malaysia inaugurates new MRO facility

Dassault Aviation subsidiary ExecuJet MRO Services Malaysia has extended its maintenance capabilities by adding regulatory approvals from the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) and US FAA.

The company says EASA has certified ExecuJet MRO Services Malaysia to perform line and base maintenance checks on the Falcon 7X aircraft at its MRO facility at Subang Airport, as well as to perform non-destructive testing (NDT) using ultrasonic, eddy current, magnetic particle and penetrant testing.

The FAA, in turn, has certified ExecuJet MRO Services Malaysia for an additional two NDT methods using ultrasonic inspection and penetrant testing.

Ivan Lim, Regional VP Asia, ExecuJet MRO Services, said: “The base maintenance approval for Falcon 7X is significant, as there are demands from European-registered Falcons based in Asia in addition to those that are passing through the region. Having EASA certification, which is an international certification recognised by many other civil aviation regulators, demonstrates we meet stringent requirements imposed by the regulator.

“The NDT capability we have added is important, as it further complements heavy base maintenance checks, helping us to identify structural defects efficiently and reduce disruptive unscheduled downtime.”
