Innovative cabin solutions company F/LIST and Pilatus Aircraft are showcasing a Pilatus PC-24 Super Versatile Jet cabin cross-section at this year’s NBAA-BACE static display AD-115 to highlight the potential for using sustainable materials in aircraft interiors.
The mock-up features F/LAB’s existing bio-based materials as well as a new plant-based F/LAB Natural Oil varnish, as Pilatus highlights the importance of sustainability within the cabin.
According to F/LAB , the transparent Natural Oil minimises the release of harmful volatile organic compounds (VOCs) into the environment while enhancing the grain and beauty of wood veneers and has a subtle matt sheen and tactile finish which highlight the natural patterns and whorls of the surface.
The Pilatus PC-24 Super Versatile Jet features a contemporary cabinet, sidewalls, bulkhead and side ledge, which showcase the versatility of the products and perfectly balance the F/LAB Natural Oil American Walnut Veneer grain sample with the F/LAB Aenigma Eco bulkhead, which incorporates recycled stone dust, the F/LAB Whisper Leather lower side panel, a dramatic F/LAB Linfinium countertop incorporating precious marble remnants, and the natural lines of the F/LAB Fresco Décor on the upper side panel.
