Finnair offers new spring menu until 20 May

Finland’s flag carrier Finnair has updated its new spring menu for 2025, with the new menu including traditional fresh Nordic flavours combined with local flavours from Finnair destinations.

The menu is available from now until 20 May on selected routes and offers dishes such as beef with porcini mushroom risotto, pumpkin, broccoli, corn and black garlic sauce, smoked rainbow trout with potato purée, oven-baked root vegetables, broccolini, cabbage and dill cream sauce, a brownie with salted caramel and nuts with raspberry sauce and Finnair’s blueberry cake. There is also a cheese selection that includes Peltola’s blue cheese and local Herkkujuustola’s Mouhitaler with fig compote.

Sami Oksava, Finnair Kitchen Development Chef, said: “Seasonal ingredients and flavours have inspired the late-winter and spring menu. These dishes were chosen to reflect the changing seasons and we expect them to be very popular with customers seeking a taste of warmer weather. The new menus reflect the destination, allowing customers to begin their culinary journey while onboard Finnair.”

Finnair also offers movie treats and snacks on board Business Class long-haul flights such as Pågen cinnamon buns, Fazer Domino biscuits, as well as cold-smoked reindeer and hummus sandwiches made in the Finnair Kitchen.

Premium Economy passengers are offered a choice of two main courses with bespoke options inspired by the flight’s destinations. These dishes include beef stew, creamy polenta and green garden vegetables with red wine sauce and grilled chicken breast with pea puree, carrots and butter milk sauce.

A second light meal or a snack are also served in the Premium Economy cabin before landing and passengers can enjoy a complimentary selection of hot and cold drinks throughout the flight.

Economy Class long-haul flights customers are served a hot meal with non-alcoholic drinks and a complimentary glass of wine or beer. On flights to Delhi, Tokyo, Hong Kong, Osaka, Shanghai, Seoul and Singapore, they can choose from two main courses, and on flights to other destinations there is one menu. The airline also serves a light meal or snack just before landing on longer flights.

Finnair  has also updated its onboard menu, with the new snacks and drinks including Barebells protein bars, Froosh smoothies and salami snacks. The airline has also added more non-alcoholic drinks to the onboard sale selection, such as non-alcoholic beer and Nocco energy drinks.
