The recent delivery of Icelandair’s first A321LR was also a milestone for Geven, an Italian aircraft seating company, with the airline being the launch customer of Geven’s New Comoda – Materia Pack for Business Class and Elemento for Economy.
The installation also marks Elemento’s debut into narrow-body aircraft, however both options of seating are expected to be implemented on A330 and A350 fleets as well. On the Icelandair A321LR, the seats were fitted with Panasonic Astrova IFE displays, with a screen size of 13.3 inches for Elemento, and 16 inches for New Comoda-Materia Pack.

New Comoda – Materia Pack
The New Comoda – Materia Pack seat is an evolved design of its predecessor, with special features that reflect Icelandair’s image and passenger experience identity, including cradle functionality, a centre console with storage, and increases privacy. Meanwhile, the Elemento seats are designed to be lightweight and operationally efficient.
