Gilat Satellite Networks has received a contract for approximately USD 11 million for its SkyEdge platform from a leading satellite operator in the Asia-Pacific region, the company has announced.
The company expects deliveries over the next 12 months and the platform will be deployed to deliver services over Very High Throughput Satellites (VHTS) supporting multiple applications.
Ron Levin, the President of Gilat’s Commercial Division, said: “We are proud to support this customer’s VHTS strategy with a SkyEdge platform that is purpose-built for high capacity, multi-application satellite networks. This deal reflects the strong confidence operators continue to place in Gilat’s technology and our ability to deliver reliable, future-ready solutions for complex satellite environments.”
Gilat says the SkyEdge platform was selected for its proven performance in high-capacity networks, flexibility to support diverse service profiles, and ability to scale with evolving market demands.
