Gogo Business Aviation has secured 25 Supplemental Type Certificates (STCs) to install the Gogo Galileo HDX in various aircraft makes and models.
The STCs will enable Gogo to bring inflight connectivity to over 18,000 types of business jets across North America, Europe, and South America by 2025, covering super-light jets to ultra-long-range aircraft.
“The exceptional response from our dealer network is a testament to the strong demand for Gogo Galileo in the industry,” said Sergio Aguirre, president and chief operating officer for Gogo. “Gogo customers now have access to true aviation-grade broadband connectivity regardless of the size of aircraft they operate or where they fly.”
Gogo’s new contracts include Bombardier, Embraer, Gulfstream, HondaJet, King Air, Learjet, Pilatus, Textron, and Beechcraft Hawker airframes.
The HDX antenna is a small device that can fit on any size business aircraft, providing speeds of up to 60 Mbps. The service is set to launch in late 2024, operating on Eutelsat OneWeb’s Low-Earth-Orbit network.
