Honeywell appoints AMETEK MRO Asia as authorised repair centre for Traffic Collision Avoidance Systems

AMETEK MRO Asia has announced that it is now a Honeywell Authorised Repair Centre (ARC) for Traffic Collison Avoidance Systems (TCAS).

The ten-year agreement will be for TPA100 series fitted to A320, A330, A340, B737, B737NG, B737MAX, B747, B757, B767 and B777 aircraft and covers full test and repair capability for these Honeywell products enabling AMETEK MRO Asia to provide customer support worldwide. The company says the equipment detects aircraft at various degrees of proximity and will alert the cockpit when other aircraft breach separation requirements.

“AMETEK MRO Asia recognises that OEM-approved component repair and licensing agreements, whether for more mature product lines or the latest technology, can deliver the ultra-efficient repair services that airlines throughout the Asia PAC region expect,” Patrick Williams, Vice President and General Manager AMETEK MRO said.

“We are pleased to add this important addition of Honeywell avionics capability to our portfolio, and further cement our on-going business relationship with this world-leading OEM. It is the third support agreement that AMETEK MRO Asia has signed with Honeywell in the last two years and is indicative of our proven performance and progression across their new technologies.”

David Corish, Divisional Vice President of AMETEK MRO Asia, commented: “We will deliver 100% OEM licensed and 100% OEM trained customer support for these critical TCAS units which are anticipated to see a significant increase in repair requirements over the coming years.

“This agreement expands our long-standing relationship with Honeywell and strengthens our presence in the market. Honeywell has confidence in our OEM-trained technicians and our extensive history of customer support. Importantly, as a channel partner, AMETEK MRO has the license for all future software upgrades and this will ensure sufficient capacity to support customers, especially in the Asia Pacific region.”
