Immersive content company Neutral Digital has appointed Iain Brown to its board as Managing Director. Brown will be working closely with co-founders Christian Grou and Adam Randall as the company continues to innovate and deliver its next phase of growth.

Brown said: “Over the last 20 years Neutral has built a cutting-edge set of capabilities creating immersive experiences to support clients on their digital transformation journeys. Having worked with Neutral in my previous roles, I have always been blown away by the creativity and quality Neutral delivers for its clients. I am excited and proud to play a part in the next chapter of growth for the business.”

The company is currently planning to accelerate growth during 2022 and says it has a strong pipeline of product and customer announcements planned.

Co-founder Adam Randall said: “As we progress on this journey, Iain’s innovative thinking, deep expertise, and intimate knowledge of Neutral Digital will help drive innovation and continue to advance our mission.”

Neutral Digital creates immersive experiences across industries and is best known for its work with top-tier airlines, particularly its VR “digital twin” airline marketing experiences with British Airways, Air Canada and Cathay Pacific.

Like many working in the sector, the pandemic hit Neutral as projects were put on hold. However, the pandemic has also accelerated development of new Neutral Digital products, particularly Neutral’s virtual spaces.

The company says a number of customers are going live with virtual product showrooms or virtual product demonstrators that have been developed by Neutral. Within these virtual environments, customers’ products such as aircraft cabin installations are recreated digitally and can be experienced in true context.

The immersive technology allows users to engage more effectively with products that traditionally are harder to visualise and interact with. It becomes easier to bring the products to users rather than requiring them to visit a physical showroom.
