LeoSat Solutions has announced that it is bringing together aerospace and space experts with its new solution, a novel LeoSat antenna.
LeoSat Solutions, which is a small, agile organisation started by aeronautics veterans who have lived through the evolution of airborne connectivity and want to approach the field with a new mindset, says it will be producing two antenna versions, Ka and Ku, with the aim of supporting LEO/MEO based networks. Both are over 90%+ common, with only the transmit and receive arrays being different.
The GPS antenna was designed for the UK. MOD and is completely flat conformal antenna. The GPS is a custom in house made receiver. According to the company, the main LEO antenna is based on space hardware and has already “flown” in space.
The company has an engineering mock up of the Ka antenna at Aircraft Interiors Expo on the PxCom stand in the IFEC hall.
