Letronics Lift Aims to Prevent Boarding Injuries for Disabled Passengers

Letronics has announced the company’s new lift solution for boarding passengers with reduced mobility is making its debut at APEX Global EXPO 2024.

The company says its solution represents a major leap forward in improving air travel for passengers with reduced mobility, prioritising safety and efficiency and eliminating the risks associated with manual transfers.

The lift ensures that passengers are transferred with dignity and in addition, reduces the physical strain on flight crew members. The lift solution features universal compatibility and works seamlessly with various aircraft types, from narrow-body to wide-body planes, adapting to multiple seating configurations. It also improves operational efficiency and minimises delays, offering airlines a consistent and safe transfer solution across their fleets.

APEX (Airline Passenger Experience Association) Group CEO Dr. Joe Leader said: “The Letronics Lift stands as a prime example of how we can use innovation to address long-standing accessibility gaps in aviation. It offers safety, efficiency, and—most importantly—dignity to the millions of passengers who require mobility assistance.”

Letronics says its lift also offers substantial benefits for flight crews by reducing the risk of workplace injuries.
