Linstol had a busy week at WTCE, launching brand new products and partnerships from its “Atlas of Wonders” themed booth.
The creator of in-flight amenities designed booth that encapsulated the theme of travel, with map designs on bags, animal themed children’s kits, and a sculpture titled “The Amazing Race” that portrayed an artistic representation of the value chain from the Factory to the Sustainable End of Life. Within the structure, two balls travelled through seven stages of the supply chain, with one ball portraying Linstol as a smooth, efficient, and frictionless company, while the second encounters common roadblocks, such as port strikes, Red Sea disruptions, and stock mismanagement.
The booth also featured a Virtual Reality (VR) mirror to enable potential clients to design and try on loungewear instantly. Standing in front of the mirror, visitors could customise sleepwear styles, trims, colours, fabric, and add personal logos to see the mock-up garments in a 2D rendering on their own body. The technology aims to cut down lead times and cost by allowing airlines to design sleepwear while still on the show floor.

Sustainability was a core focus at Linstol’s booth, with the unveiling of its latest innovation, AquaThread. The material is created using crushed oyster shells and recycled plastic bottles, blended with cotton or modal, with six discarded oyster shells and 60 plastic bottles producing one kilo of the material. The result is a soft, fluffy, breathable, antimicrobial, static resistant and odour resistant product that can be used to make sleepwear, blankets, and bedding. AquaThread was created with Hans Global, a textile technology innovator, and using Seawool. Also on display were amenity materials made from banana waste, palm leaf, and sugar cane bagasse, that can be used to make cutlery, dishware, and other in-flight items.
“We are excited to showcase and launch AquaThread at WTCE, ” said Nicky Upton, Global Director for Textiles at Linstol. “This textile is a truly circular solution for our clients that is both affordable and impactful. Every product in the AquaThread range is derived from using ocean-bound and ocean-recovered waste. Companies the world over need to take steps to meet their environmental commitments and this is one-way Linstol is supporting our clients’ sustainability goals.”

Linstol also launched new luxury over-ear headsets for an unconfirmed French airline’s first-class in early April, developed with Denon, a premium audio brand.
“We are thrilled to introduce this new innovation,” said Mark Russell, CEO of Linstol. “These bespoke headsets are engineered to deliver an exceptional in-flight audio experience, combining premium sound fidelity with ergonomic comfort for long-haul use. Developed with sustainability in mind, they are crafted for repeated deployment across multiple flight cycles. Their robust construction and rotable design significantly reduce waste, offering a long-term, environmentally responsible alternative to traditional headphones.”
