Lufthansa has announced that the first scheduled flight with its new Lufthansa Allegris cabin on board took off on 1 May from Munich for Vancouver. The flight had 268 passengers and 11 crew members on board, with ten new seating options.
Allegris is also be available on flights to Toronto, as well as Chicago and Montreal from this summer and Shanghai and San Francisco slightly later on in the summer. Also, Lufthansa says that from summer, flights with the Lufthansa Allegris cabin on board will be offered for booking for the winter flight schedule with the entire product range.
In Allegris Business Class, passengers can reserve a specific seat as before, with the Classic Seat always free of charge and offering all the benefits of the new product. The Business Class Suite, the Extra Space Seat, the Privacy Seat by the window and the Extra Long Bed can be booked in advance via the seat reservation system for an additional charge.
