Lufthansa Technik (LHT) has fully integrated Lufthansa Industry Solutions (LHIND) into its MRO network. The acquisition follows the introduction of LHT’s Digital Tech Ops Ecosystem earlier this month as part of its aim to drive digital transformation of aircraft MRO.
The integration of LHIND, bringing more than 2,300 digital experts into the MRO projects, aims to improve products with faster turnaround times and competitive prices for customers. The collaboration will also enable additional services for LHT’s Digital Tech Ops Ecosystem, providing further unprecedented digital analytics in the tech ops process.
Dr. William Willms, CFO, Lufthansa Technik, looks forward to the collaboration: “With LHIND’s highly specialized and dedicated colleagues at our side, we are getting ever closer to our strategic goal of leading the digital transformation of the MRO industry.
“On the one hand, we benefit enormously from the knowledge transfer that LHIND can provide, as they are active in many different industries,” he said.
LHIND already supports other companies within the ecosystem including AVIATAR, AMOS and flydocs. As part of LHT’s digital operations, LHIND will further expand services such as the implementation and integration of the digital ecosystem to its customers.
“MRO IT services and digitalization will be a focus growth field for Lufthansa Technik in the coming years, with further complementary add-ons to follow,” added Willms.
Following the integration into LHT’s network, LHIND will continue as an independent entity with its own management and market presence. Additionally, its strategic direction will be supported to achieve double-digit percentage growth in the coming years.
