EBACE19: Lufthansa Technik celebrates 1,000th ‘nice’ system installation with Bombardier

Lufthansa Technik and Bombardier have celebrated the installation of the 1,000th ‘nice’ cabin management (CMS) and in-flight entertainment (IFE) system with a reception at the European Business Aviation Conference and Exhibition (EBACE) in Geneva.

Representative nice systems are installed on the Bombardier Learjet 75, Challenger 350 and Challenger 650, and the Global 7500 aircraft at the static display of the show.

“This year, at least one »nice« shipset leaves our Hamburg base every second day on its way for installation in a new business jet,” said Andrew Muirhead, vice-president product division original equipment innovation at Lufthansa Technik, he added, “Thanks to the trust placed in us by Bombardier, it has become what it is today, the leading line-fit CMS/IFE system for business aircraft all over the world.”

Brad Nolen, vice-president, marketing and product strategy, Bombardier Aviation said the nice system “ensures exceptional cabin efficiency” and added, “Providing instant access to an array of cabin entertainment and connectivity settings, Lufthansa Technik’s cutting-edge »nice« system allows for effortless control and elevates the overall in-flight experience of our customers.”

The system has been enhanced continuously since its introduction on the market, adapting to current technology and introducing advanced features.

The fourth generation of the system is in development, ‘niceMe’ aims to target customers who wish to personalise or customise their onboard experience.
