Lufthansa is updating its Business Class short and medium-haul meal menu, with the new dishes to debut from 26 February.
Guests can pre-select meals for free prior to the flight, a process that helps to reduce waste and overstocking. The new selection focuses on providing more variety for passengers, with a wider range of vegetarian and non-vegetarian cold dishes on two-hour long flights and three hot dish options for flights of three hours or more.
“The introduction of ‘Pre-Select’ on Lufthansa’s short and medium-haul routes underlines our ongoing efforts to offer our guests a consistently high-quality and uniform travel experience,” said Caroline Drischel, Senior Vice President Customer Journey Lufthansa Group. “The option of pre-ordering meals is already offered on SWISS flights and is also planned for Austrian Airlines.”
The meals, created by chef Johann Lafer, Lufthansa’s culinary teams and Gate Gourmet, combine local cuisine with European flavours using high-quality ingredients.
“When developing the meals, we attached great importance to regional origin and sustainability,” commented Heiko Reitz, Chief Customer Officer Lufthansa Airlines. “We made a conscious decision to use local and selected European products. Lufthansa guests can look forward to a new treat for the palate.”
