Eclipse has changed its name to Eclipse Global Connectivity, effective immediately. Its design, installation, production and certification division, EAD Aerospace, has also changed its name, to Eclipse Technics. The new name and brand underscore the company’s pioneering work delivering a comprehensive range of bespoke in-flight connectivity solutions across the aviation industry.

Marc Pinault, CEO of Eclipse Global Connectivity, explained that the company’s new name expresses the company’s long history with airborne communications. “Our new name, Eclipse Global Connectivity, represents our expanding influence on the global airborne connectivity sector, while acknowledging aviation’s changing connectivity needs. It unifies the Eclipse and EAD Aerospace entities under a single vision for the future and speaks to new pursuits we will announce in the coming weeks.”

“We anticipate that our new name will resonate with our customers and the aviation industry,” remarked Marc Pinault. “Since 1996, we have delivered complete, bespoke solutions to suit a range of aircraft missions, and with our acquisition in 2015 of EAD Aerospace, now Eclipse Technics, our overall skillset continues to increase, so we now provide much more than connectivity solutions.”
