Neo Space Group CEO Martijn Blanken has shared his insight into the company’s journey since launching in May 2024, noting it has been defined by momentum.
“In just over a year, we have built strong foundations, forged international partnerships, and taken bold steps that are not only shaping NSG’s future, but also driving the Kingdom’s ambitions to be a leader in the global space economy,” Blanken said. “From the very beginning, our mission has been clear: to establish NSG as the National Champion of Saudi Arabia’s space sector. Looking back at our first year, I am proud of the progress we have made toward that ambition.”
Neo Space Group has developed a world-class satellite-based inflight connectivity (IFC) solution tailored to the evolving needs of modern aviation, and Blanken explained that beyond connectivity, it expanded into geospatial innovation, powered by strategic collaborations with leading global players. “These alliances allow us to pioneer advanced solutions that drive smarter decision-making and operational excellence,” he explained.
Another important investment for the company has been investing in people. “Over the past year, we grew our team and launched initiatives to nurture local talent. This reflects our commitment to building opportunities for Saudi professionals and creating the human capital that will underpin long-term growth.”
The company has also launched Saudi Arabia’s First Earth Observation Marketplace which streamlines access to EO data and geospatial services, integrating a growing network of providers and value-added partners and enabling high-resolution imagery acquisition, advanced analytics, and large-scale processing.
“As we look to the future, our ambition continues to grow. A key milestone will be our participation at World Space Business Week 2025 in Paris — the leading global space business event. This will be a chance to showcase our achievements, engage with industry leaders, and expand NSG’s international presence.
Finally, Blanken shared an exciting outlook for the future: “In the months ahead, we will also be unveiling several foundational initiatives in satellite services, data infrastructure, and advanced geospatial solutions. These will mark not only new milestones for NSG but also position Saudi Arabia as a hub of space innovation and excellence.”
