Saudi Arabian connectivity company Neo Space Group (NSG) has chosen ThinKom’s ThinAir Ka2517 antenna for installation across the narrowbody fleets on multiple airlines.
ThinKom says it will provide its flight-proven multi-orbit phased array solution, integrated by RAVE Aerospace as a turnkey installation kit to deliver high-speed, inflight internet service with Saudia and Riyadh Air. Currently, Saudia’s A320 deployments are ongoing and Riyadh Air’s A321neo fleet will be delivered from Airbus with the solution installed.
Neo Space Group also has contracts with Thai Airways, Uzbekistan Airways, and Turkish Airlines which all leverage the Ka2517. “Our flight-proven ThinAir antennas bring unmatched throughput, spectral efficiency and reliability to the skies,” said Jeff Sare, Chief Commercial Officer at ThinKom.

NSG’s in-flight internet solution is powered by the company’s Skywaves platform, which is an advanced traffic management platform that delivers seamless, high-performance connectivity through a multi-orbit (GEO + NGSO) architecture with global coverage and bandwidth of up to 300 Mbps.
ThinKom’s Ka2517 holds SES type certification and operates on the SES Open Orbits network which includes services on SES’s geostationary satellites as well as the O3b Classic and next-gen mPOWER MEO constellations.
