Recaro Aircraft Seating hosts annual Global Supplier Day to recognise suppliers

RECARO Aircraft Seating has hosted its 13th annual Global Supplier Day to acknowledge suppliers who go above and beyond while exemplifying the seating supplier’s standards.

In the awards ceremony, accolades were given in five categories: Sustainability, Newcomer, Customer Service, Production Material, and Non-Production Material. The awards were based on a supplier’s overall performance throughout the year.

Simona Boltaron received the Sustainability award for the company’s key initiatives to reduce water and energy consumption, its establishment of an in-house recycling centre, use of high-impact thermoplastics for lightweight and durable products and development of the Boltaron® TERREFORM line that features up to 100% recycled content.

AMT received the Newcomer award for its outstanding commitment to the RECARO principles, as well as its ability to successfully comply to the RECARO standards and perform at a high level during the supplier development phases and assemblies.

Customer Service award was given to MHR Kunststofftechnik due to the company’s competitive lead times and excellent overall customer support that ensures every customer request was attainable.

Yantai Aikai Tianlong Moulding Plastics Co. received the Production Material award for its commitment to cost reduction without compromising quality, as well as efficient processes and timely responses that positively impacted delivery performance throughout the year.

The Non-Production Material award was given to Sure Personal Management who offered remarkable staffing solutions to ensure streamlined processes and reduced administrative burdens which allowed the RECARO teams the ability to focus on the core of the business.

“As we continue on our path of sustainability and growth, partnerships with like-minded collaborators are key. These relationships ensure we meet our customers’ wishes in a timely and sustainable manner, solidifying our market leadership position with economy class seating solutions next to our further steps into business class,” said Mark Hiller, CEO of RECARO Aircraft Seating and RECARO Holding.

“Thank you to all our suppliers for attending the conference and showing your unwavering dedication for quality, service, and sustainability in the industry. Your support in our production ramp-up, along with your flexibility and reliability as partners, has been invaluable. It’s our combined efforts that make a difference to our customers and their passengers,” said Roland Grimm EVP Supply Chain and Sustainability.
