Recaro Aircraft Seating has unveiled the new streamlined design of its final assembly line.
The company held a special event on 2 March to celebrate the design which was attended by nearly 100 suppliers, VIPs and Recaro colleagues. “Today was a celebration of many months of hard work and dedication from my colleagues who believe in the importance of customer-centric manufacturing,” said Dr. Mark Hiller, CEO and Shareholder.
“Technology is a driving force in our industry and it’s important for Recaro to be a pioneer in lean production, so we can better serve our customers.”
The facility features nearly 11k square metres of renovated space and includes >350m conveyor technology for the seats, 60% power savings through LED lighting and an expanded canteen and coffee lounge.
More than four million euros were invested in the project and the planning for the new design was first started in 2017.
