Singapore Airlines offers seasonal Christmas menu on board

Singapore Airlines will be offering a seasonal menu and entertainment on board during the holiday season.

The airline says it will be carrying up to 63,290 passengers from the UK throughout the festive period and that travel will be peaking on 22 December.

The carrier’s seasonal menu in First Class will include Osetra caviar and slow-cooked lamb, with smoked salmon and braised pork belly being served in Business Class. In Premium Economy and Economy, passengers are offered comfort foods such as slow-braised beef and roast chicken. Salcombe Dairy ‘Christmas Pudding’ ice-cream is one of the options for dessert, and on board flights into London, passengers enjoy a traditional Christmas turkey with all the trimmings.

Mohamed Rafi Mar, Singapore Airlines General Manager UK & Ireland, said: “We’re bringing the magic of Christmas to flights this season with gourmet cuisine, blockbuster movies, nostalgic TV shows and our world-class customer service. Throughout our network, we look forward to reuniting tens of thousands of families, as well as jetting many others away to the sunshine.”

Curated films are offered on the in-flight entertainment system, KrisWorld, including Home Alone, Frozen II, Elf and The Polar Express, and TV shows such as ‘Cadbury’s at Christmas’ and ‘Holiday Baking Championship: Gingerbread Showdown’.
