Iberia has been named Best Airline Staff Service in Europe at the 2026 World Airline Awards, organised by Skytrax. The recognition highlights the quality, professionalism and customer‑focused approach of Iberia’s cabin crew and ground teams.

The award was presented at a ceremony at The Langham Hotel in London, attended by Iberia president Marco Sansavini and customer director Beatriz Guillén, alongside captain Marta Checa and purser José Luis de la Riva, representing the airline’s crews.

The accolade reflects the direct assessment of Iberia customers and acknowledges the work of thousands of employees across the airline. Sansavini said the award celebrates the dedication and personal service delivered daily by Iberia’s teams. “This recognition is particularly important because it reflects the direct assessment of our customers and acknowledges the work of the thousands of professionals who make up Iberia… This award is for all of them,” he said.

Customer experience is a central pillar of Flight Plan 2030, Iberia’s long‑term transformation strategy. The airline is investing in digitalisation and personalisation while maintaining the human touch that defines its service culture.

As part of the plan, Iberia will refurbish the cabins of its entire long‑haul fleet and increase hand‑luggage capacity on narrow‑body aircraft with new XL overhead bins. On the ground, the airline continues to expand premium facilities, including the newly opened Emerald Lounge Sorolla in Terminal 4 at Adolfo Suárez Madrid–Barajas Airport, dedicated to Platino, Platino Prime, Infinita, Infinita Prime and Singular customers.
