Starling Aerospace new seat family to be showcased at AIX 2026

Aircraft interior specialist company Starling Aerospace will be unveiling a new family of bespoke aircraft seating solutions at the Aircraft Interiors Expo (AIX) at its stand in Hall 7.

The expo will take place between 14-16 April in Hamburg. The new seating range’s next-generation economy class seat, named SA4000, is focused on weight efficiency, enhanced comfort, durability and simplified maintenance.

For corporate and premium class cabins the company has designed the SA5000 seat, which is a dual ‘club style’ platform featuring in-house engineered modular architecture, advanced connectivity integration and bespoke comfort options.

The company is also developing a next-generation, fully customisable VIP seating solution for private jet operators. The SA6000 seat will feature 357 degree rotation, handcrafted luxury materials, integrated smart controls and flexible configuration options.

Starling’s co-founder and director, Coralie Wigg, said: “At AIX, we are not simply launching new seats, we are showcasing our expertise in creating unique and scalable seating architecture, that’s suitable for economy layouts, corporate cabins and ultra-luxury VIP aircraft. Our new SA seat family is designed, engineered and certificated to meet the evolving expectations of airlines, corporate operators, and private jet customers alike and we can’t wait to invite show visitors to try them out. The new seats are an extension to our range of bespoke cabin monuments, all of which are engineered for reliability and durability.”

The new seating portfolio has been engineered with cross-platform adaptability in mind, Starling says, including compatibility with Airbus, Boeing, Cessna and Embraer cabin geometries and other private jet models. Starling has also announced its official status as an approved Boeing supplier to Boeing, marking another significant milestone for the business.  According to the company, it already holds the necessary approvals and technical capability to design, engineer, manufacture and certify interior monuments for Boeing commercial platforms.

Wigg said: “Achieving approved supplier status from Boeing not only underscores our engineering rigour, manufacturing quality and deep understanding of its cabin requirements, but also validates Starling’s commitment to delivering world-class cabin interiors for next-generation Boeing aircraft. ”

Starling says the company has recently been appointed to deliver a series of luxury seat modifications across a major airline’s B787 and Airbus A350 long-haul fleet. In a project lasting until 2030 and working in close association with Boeing, it will also undertake the design, manufacture and certification of brand-new monuments across the B787 fleet.
